Job Summary:

Are you equipped with solid news judgment and adept at researching and fact-checking for on-air talent? If so, we're eager to connect with you! ABC News Live is seeking a dynamic Associate Producer to join our team in the Washington D.C. Bureau.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct research on news and political stories, as well as guest segments for on-air talent.
• Provide support to on-air talent during the show by printing scripts and communicating any updates.
• Demonstrate the ability to swiftly identify and address problems as they arise.
• Pitch compelling story ideas and guest segments.
• Craft engaging copy for the anchor.
• Develop thought-provoking questions for guest segments.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience producing in a digital, streaming, or broadcast environment.
• Previous experience in video production within a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with the current digital landscape of live streaming.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience writing VOs (voice overs) and VOSOTs (voice over sound on tape) under pressure and tight deadlines.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

The hiring range for this position in Washington D.C is $57,900 to $77,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
