Position Summary The Early Intervention Evaluator conducts developmental evaluations for children birth to three with suspected or diagnosed developmental delays. Responsibilities include assessments, working with families, and collaborating with professionals to recommend support and therapy. Experience Requirements At least two years of experience working with families and young children, with knowledge of child development. Knowledge of early intervention services for children with special needs. Experience with standardized evaluation tools. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, email, and internet usage. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Initiative and independent judgment. Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and follow-up skills. Positive attitude and high energy. Record-keeping and office procedures experience. Ability to work independently. Effective communication with the public, staff, and clients. Ability to interact professionally with diverse backgrounds, considering cultural and language differences. Skill in evaluating children across developmental domains using approved tools. Ability to write clear, professional reports. Effective oral and written presentation skills. Experience with Brittco, EIDS, and Adobe Acrobat (preferred). Education and Licensing Must hold a relevant degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s) recognized by Ohio Department of Children and Youth Policies, meeting licensure or certification requirements for Ohio, including fields like audiology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, etc. Must meet requirements for a developmental specialist certification and maintain a 5-year certification per Ohio administrative rules.
