Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an IT Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Akron, OH(Remote) . The ideal candidate must have experience managing complex technical projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and familiarity with communications technologies like fiber, SCADA/RTU, and field area networks.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $62/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

IT Project Manager job responsibilities include:

• Managing communications-related projects to deploy monitoring and control systems to substations and line devices.

• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and technicians.

• Ensuring projects are delivered on scope, on schedule, and on budget.

• Developing detailed schedules for project milestones and tracking progress.

• Overseeing project activities related to establishing communications to remote field devices.

• Managing project activities involving fiber, digital microwave, SCADA/RTU communications, routing, and switching technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer science, Technology, Engineering, or Business, or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

• 2+ years of related work experience in IT project management or technical projects.

• Experience with communications technologies, such as fiber, SCADA/RTU, and field area networks.

• Familiarity with union labor (Local 270 UWUA) and experience managing projects involving contractors and subject matter experts.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $62.00 per hour
