Job Description
Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) supports the nation's second largest research program conducted among the VA Hospitals and is looking for a temporary, part-time Life Sciences Lab Assistant who will support Principal Investigator, Dr. Irene Lorenzo Llorente.
The Lab Assistant position is located within a human stem cell biology/neuroscience laboratory at Stanford University and the Palo alto VA Medical Center and calls for a highly motivated, intelligent, responsible, conscientious, and detail-oriented individual. The successful candidate must be a quick learner who enjoys acquiring new skills, advancing projects independently and collaboratively.
We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with a proven interest in several of the following areas: human cell culture, human pluripotent stem cell techniques, CRISPR genome editing, standard molecular biology techniques, animal handling, behavioral testing, ddPCR, FACS and confocal microscopy.
This is a part time position at 0-5 hours/week.
