Unite Contracting is looking for a Marine Electrician to join our team in Tampa, Florida . While the position is based in Tampa , we are actively welcoming applications from skilled electricians in Panama City and nearby Gulf Coast areas who are open to relocating or commuting.

This is a permanent, on-site role focused on service and maintenance for commercial marine vessels in the Tampa port area.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct service calls and perform repairs on tugboats, push boats, and crew boats
• Install and troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, switchboards, alarms, and panels
• Terminate cables, mount equipment, and hook up power systems
• Test and troubleshoot using standard electrical diagnostic tools
• Perform insulation resistance measurements and advise on repairs
• Maintain and requisition parts inventory

Requirements

• 5–7 years of marine electrical experience
• Competence with marine power distribution and motor controls
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local Tampa ports
• Proficiency reading wiring diagrams and using electrical tools
• No offshore or dockside-only roles—this is vessel-based marine work

Schedule

• Full-time | 40–60 hours/week
• Monday to Friday | Day shift
• Some overtime required for emergency/after-hours calls
