Job Description

A full-time opportunity is available for a High School Special Education Teacher specializing in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) in a supportive educational environment in Pelham, NH. This position offers the chance to work with a dedicated caseload of approximately 15 students in either self-contained or integrated classroom settings tailored to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver academic and behavioral instruction aligned with each students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to support students learning and growth.
  • Maintain structured and consistent classroom routines to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate closely with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Utilize positive behavior support strategies and data-driven interventions to promote student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Active New Hampshire Special Education Certification with an endorsement in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
  • Experience working with high school students (grades 912) in special education settings is preferred.
  • Strong skills in classroom management and individualized instruction.
  • Ability to work with support staff and families collaboratively to achieve educational goals.

The role includes working alongside paraprofessionals, some assigned on a one-on-one basis, to provide individualized attention.
