Telemetry Tech/Monitor Tech 12HR - 0.9 Night Shift - Full Time

Position Summary:  Under the Leadership of the Unit Manager, Supervisor, and/or Charge Nurse, is responsible for cardiac monitoring, observation ,and reporting of cardiac rhythm changes to the nursing staff for further investigation when indicated. Provides assistance in patient as directed by professional nurse according to the mission, philosophy, policy and procedures of Watsonville Community Hospital. Important dimensions of this position consists of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a fundamental nursing knowledge.

Education:

• High School Graduate or GED required

• More than one year in Telemetry monitoring, EMT certification, or completion of basic dysrhythmia course.

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support required upon hire/transfer. 
• National Telemetry Association certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer, strongly preferred at hire date.
